I am a first year PhD student in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, where I am fortunate to work under the supervision of Professor Jimmy Lin .

My research interests sit at the intersection of information retrieval and natural language processing. I am particularly interested in how large language models can be used to develop more reliable and effective information-access systems, especially in low-resource domains in which large-scale data is unavailable.

Previously, I graduated with a Master's degree from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised by Professor Jamie Callan and Professor Eduard Hovy. After earning my Master's, I worked for two years as a researcher at MIT Lincoln Laboratory before starting my PhD.
